Amanda Hoy
Director of Design, MBH Developments
Amanda Hoy is the Director of Design at MBH Developments, bringing over 10 years of experience in architecture, residential design, and project delivery across British Columbia. She leads the design vision and planning strategy for MBH’s housing projects, ensuring each home is functional, buildable, and aligned with the values of the families and communities it serves.
Amanda’s background spans custom homes, multi-unit residential, and on-reserve housing projects. She is known for her ability to bridge design quality with construction feasibility — managing zoning, permitting, and consultant coordination while delivering thoughtful, durable designs. Her work is grounded in practical experience and a strong understanding of municipal and First Nations approval processes.
With a deep commitment to creating housing that supports family well-being and long-term community impact, Amanda works closely with Indigenous partners, municipalities, and project teams to ensure every project reflects local needs and cultural values. Her approach to design prioritizes clarity, livability, and long-term performance, whether she’s leading a feasibility study, subdivision layout, or full construction drawing package.
At MBH Developments, Amanda directs all architectural design and planning efforts, and is currently leading the development of MBH’s standardized prefabricated housing models. These designs are adaptable, energy-efficient, and cost-effective — built to deliver meaningful housing outcomes in both urban and rural contexts.
Amanda’s work is driven by purpose and precision, with a focus on creating homes that strengthen families, honour place, and support future generations.
